Technical Translation German → Spanish
A technical translation transfers specialised content from German, English or French into Spanish accurately enough for engineers, technicians and operators in the target market to understand the original without room for interpretation. Since 2005 I have been translating technical texts for German industrial companies, international groups and translation agencies.
What a technical translation delivers
Technical translation is not a question of style — it’s a question of functionality. A mistranslated wiring diagram, a misunderstood safety instruction or a converted measurement unit can lead to production downtime, complaints or liability claims.
What I translate
- Operating and maintenance manuals for machines, plants and equipment
- Technical specifications, data sheets and requirement specifications
- Patent applications and patent translations for validation in Spain and Latin America
- Safety data sheets, occupational safety documentation and operating instructions
- Training materials and e-learning content for industrial and commercial settings
- Tender and offer documentation for technical sales
- Technical correspondence and customer communication
Sectors
Mechanical and plant engineering, automotive and supplier industry, energy and renewable energies, waste management and environmental technology, rail and transport, welding technology, mountain sports and outdoor equipment.
How I work
- Terminology first. Client-specific glossaries and consistency with previous deliveries.
- CAT tools. Translation memory and version control.
- I ask rather than assume. If something is unclear, I check.
- Confidential handling of all documents.
